Chiang Mai Airport Taxi

Get within 20 minutes to downtown Chiang Mai from the airport by taxi.

At Chiang Mai Airport there is a Taxi Meter desk where passengers can purchase their ticket.

Passengers may know that taxis, in general, don’t cross Chiang Mai city. To cruise the city, they must take other transport options as Tuk-Tuk or the red trucks (Songthaew).

Taxis are at Exit 1.

Fares

At Chiang Mai Airport there a couple of taxis: Chiang Mai Airport Taxi, Nakorn Lanna and Taxi Meter.

The main difference is that the Airport Taxi charges a flat fee of 150 Baht to everywhere in the city, whilst the taxi meter fees are around 100-120 Baht and surcharge of 50 Baht for trips com the airport.  

Most of the hotels in Chiang Mai are located in the vicinities of the Airport. The taxi ride is about ฿150.

Shared Rides

Shared ride service is available to those who wish to share a ride and pay a flat rate to certain destinations if multiple parties are available for the trip. Grab is the available service.
