Chiang Mai Airport Transport

Public transportation is not allowed without passengers getting into the terminal building.

Outside the airport there are available shuttles, tuk-tuk, minubuses or bikes.

Within Chiang Mai Airport facilities, there are provided the following methods of transportation:

CHIANG MAI AIRPORT TO CITY CENTRE

Best options to get to city centre are taxi or transfer. However, shuttles bus is another great option.

Getting by taxi from the Chiang Mai Airport to downtown it is the best way to get straight to your final destination.

Please note that taxis don’t cross Chiang Mai city. To do so, we recommend you to take a Tuk-Tuk or a Shared Taxi.

Expect an average fare of 100-150 Baht to downtown.

Tuk-tuks are not allowed at the airport premises without passengers.

To take one, please get to the main street and flag down one.

Fares are around 100-120 Baht. We ought passengers to negotiate fares.

From Chiang Mai Airport there’s a bus service to the Old City which departs every 30 minutes.
